Lovin’ Libido is a supplement sold by a brand called Olly Vitamins. It’s used to increase sex drive, and the brand claims that this supplement can “rev things up in all the right places” and “support sexual satisfaction for women.”

But does this supplement contain research-backed ingredients for libido enhancement or are these just marketing claims? Does it contain any questionable additive ingredients? And how do real users rate it and describe its effects?

In this article we’ll answer all of these questions and more as we analyze the ingredients in Olly Lovin’ Libido based on medical research to give our take on whether or not the supplement is likely to be effective.

We’ll also share real, unsponsored user reviews of this product and explain what retailer has the best price on it.

Ingredient Analysis – Will Lovin’ Libido Work?

Olly Lovin' Libido Supplement Facts label

Olly Lovin’ Libido has three active ingredients: ashwagandha extract, damiana extract and maca extract.

Ashwagandha extract is a botanical ingredient that was shown in a clinical trial published in the BioMed Research International journal to improve sex drive in women.

Trial participants took either placebo capsules or ashwagandha extract capsules. After eight weeks, women taking the ashwagandha extract capsules experienced a 19% improvement in sexual function and desire compared to the placebo group. The dose used in this trial is exactly the same as the dose in Olly’s supplement.

Damiana extract is a popular aphrodisiac, but we can’t find any clinical evidence that it improves sex drive or sexual function in women specifically.

A 2009 clinical trial found that this compound improved sex drive in male rats, but the dosage used was significantly higher than the equivalent human dosage in Olly’s supplement, and animal trials don’t necessarily prove the same effects in humans.

Maca extract is a more concentrated version of maca, which was tested in a clinical trial published in the Menopause journal for its effects on sexual function in women.

The researchers found that maca not only improved sexual dysfunction, but also improved anxiety and depression scores. The study does not evaluate effects on sex drive, but it is possible the other improvements help sex drive too.

While all three of the active ingredients in Olly Lovin’ Libido have some research backing, there are two concerns we have about the inactive ingredients.

Candurin silver is listed as a coloring agent (which gives this supplement its silver sheen). The manufacturer of this ingredient lists that it’s made from mica and titanium dioxide. As we explained in our review of Flo Gummies, we recommend avoiding titanium dioxide as it’s banned in the E.U. for use as a food additive over toxicity concerns.

The Supplement Facts label also lists “contains: milk,” but milk or its derivatives are not included in any of the ingredients which is highly confusing to us.

Overall we consider Olly Lovin’ Libido to be likely effective for improving sex drive in women, given that all three of its active ingredients have research backing. The two ingredients that have been tested on humans in clinical trials appear effectively dosed in this supplement.

We don’t recommend it overall due to the inclusion of a questionable coloring agent.

Will Olly Lovin’ Libido Cause Side Effects?

Olly Lovin’ Libido doesn’t appear to have been studied in any clinical trials, so we can’t say confidently whether or not the supplement causes side effects. However, we can make an educated guess based on the ingredients.

All three of the active ingredients are well-studied and are included at safe doses. We haven’t seen any clinical evidence that these compounds typically cause side effects.

While we’re slightly concerned over the inclusion of the silver coloring agent, we haven’t seen any clinical evidence that its component ingredients cause side effects.

Overall we do not believe that Olly Lovin’ Libido is likely to cause side effects.
