But does Ogee Makeup contain research-backed ingredients for improving skin quality and appearance? Does the brand use any unhealthy ingredients? And is Ogee better or worse than popular "clean" makeup brands like Seint?

Jojoba seed oil is one of the most effective natural moisturizers, and may have anti-aging effects as well, according to a 2013 medical review.

Coffee seed oil was shown in a clinical trial published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology to increase collagen and elastin production in skin.

Overall, we are highly impressed with this formulation. It contains a number of research-backed ingredients, and we believe it’s likely to improve skin quality, moisturize skin, and protect skin from UV damage. 

Tinted Sculpted Lip Oil Ingredient Analysis

Like the previous Ogee product, this one contains several research-backed ingredients.

Coconut oil is the most effective plant oil for improving skin quality, and also has an anti-aging effect when applied topically, according to a 2018 meta-study on plant oils and skin quality.

Hydrogenated castor oil may be an effective natural exfoliant, according to a clinical trial published in the British Journal of Dermatology.

Tocopherol, also known as vitamin E, can help protect the skin against UV-induced damage, as we referenced in our review of Zo skincare.

Beta-sitosterol is a plant sterol that’s not only good for the body but good for skin.

A 2014 clinical trial found that this ingredient is a potent anti-inflammatory agent when applied topically, and may be effective against dermatitis and for reducing skin lesions.

Titanium dioxide is one of the most effective and safe sunscreen ingredients.

Ogee is the best cosmetics brand that we’ve reviewed to date on Illuminate Health.

The brand has impressive, research-backed formulations that may have anti-aging and skin-hydrating effects. 

Most importantly, the two Ogee products we reviewed are entirely free of questionable additive ingredients, which is exceedingly rare for a cosmetics brand.

We consider both Ogee Sculpted Complexion Stick and Ogee Tinted Sculpted Lip Oil likely to be effective for their stated purposes.

We consider Ogee Makeup to be a healthier option than Laura Geller Makeup, Seint Makeup and Rare Beauty Blush.
