Momentous Supplements is a brand made famous by neuroscientist and health influencer Andrew Huberman. The company describes their products as “Best-In-Class Human Performance,” and sells everything from individual herbal extracts to minerals.
But are Momentous Supplements well-formulated in terms of ingredients and dosages, or are these just marketing claims? Does the brand use any questionable additive ingredients? What retailer sells Momentous Supplements for the best price? And how do real users rate and describe the effects of these products?
In this article we’ll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in Momentous Supplements based on medical studies to give our take on whether they’re likely to be effective, or if they’re a waste of money.
We’ll provide a cost comparison to show which retailer sells Momentous for the best price, and feature unsponsored customer reviews of the brand.
Ingredient Analysis – Momentous Tongkat Ali
The ingredients in Momentous Tongkat Ali are shown above.
This is a single-herb supplement, and the dosage is 400 milligrams (mg) per serving.
Tongkat ali is one of the most well-studied herbal supplements for testosterone support in men, and a clinical trial published in the Andrologia journal concluded that “the raised testosterone following [tongkat ali] supplementations could benefit muscle and strength gain in young adults.”
It’s worth noting though that the dose used in the above-linked trial was 600 mg, or 50% more than that in Momentous’ supplement.
As we documented in our Black Bull Honey reviews article, most of the research we’ve come across on tongkat ali for testosterone used an extract, which is more potent than the raw herb version used in Momentmous Tongkat Ali.
A 2022 meta-study on tongkat ali supplementation found that the herb increased testosterone levels, but all clinical trials analyzed with a reported dosage used an extract rather than raw herb.
Based on the available research, we consider Momentous Tongkat Ali potentially effective for increasing T levels, but a tongkat ali extract may be a better option than this supplement.
We Tried Momentous Ourselves
As the author of this article, I wanted to try Momentous supplements myself to share my thoughts on the experience.
I tried Momentous Tongkat Ali capsules over the course of a month.
The smell and taste of the capsules were mild; almost non-existent.
I noticed a slight increase in sex drive over the course of the month. Nothing extreme, but I already have a healthy baseline sex drive, so I didn't expect extreme effects.
I took these capsules with my first meal, because I figured that if I was going to get a sex drive boost, I wouldn't want that before bed.
I didn't experience any side effects from taking this supplement.
Overall, I'd rate this supplement 8/10, and I would consider purchasing it in the future.
Ingredient Analysis – Momentous Magnesium
The ingredients in Momentous Magnesium Threonate are shown above.
Like the previous supplement, this is a single-ingredient formulation which makes it simple to analyze for efficacy.
Magnesium is a mineral that many Americans are deficient in, and its supplementation is associated in clinical studies with reduced blood pressure, reduced inflammation, reduced blood sugar and more.
From a formulation perspective, we recommend this supplement and magnesium threonate is one of the most absorbable forms of magnesium.
However, this supplement may be a cost-ineffective way to obtain magnesium.
Momentous Magnesium Threonate currently costs $49.95 for a one-time purchase, which equates to $1.67 per serving.
