Fièra Cosmetics is a skincare brand marketed to mature women. The brand describes their best-seller as the “#1 Anti-Aging Concealer For Women Over 40,” and claims to be trusted by over half a million women.
But does Fièra Cosmetics contain research-backed ingredients for anti-aging? Does the brand use any unhealthy ingredients? And is Fièra Cosmetics better or worse than popular cosmetics brands like Thrive Causemetics?
In this article, we’ll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in two of Fièra Cosmetics’ best-selling products (Concealer and Stem Cell Cream) to give our take on whether or not they're effectively formulated.
We'll also compare Fièra Cosmetics to other popular cosmetics brands in terms of formulation quality, to pick our winners (and losers).
Key takeaways:
- Luxury Concealer formulation was dramatically improved
- Apple Stem Cell Cream has research-backed ingredients and no unhealthy additives
- We currently recommend Fièra Cosmetics Apple Stem Cell Cream
Fièra Luxury Concealer Review
The ingredients in Fièra Luxury Concealer are shown below:

Tocopheryl acetate is a form of vitamin E, and this vitamin has been shown to have anti-tumor and sun-protective effects when applied to the skin in a 2016 medical review.
Retinyl palmitate is a form of vitamin A that was found to reduce the effects of aging on skin in a clinical trial published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. Visible skin wrinkling was decreased by over 8% after 60 days.
Sodium hyaluronate is one of the most well-studied anti-wrinkle ingredients, and is clinically shown to have an anti-aging effect and increase skin moisture content as we documented in our review of Naked & Thriving Renew Serum.
Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a naturally-derived skin moisturizer according to a 2022 clinical trial.
Palmitoyl tripeptide-7 has an anti-inflammatory effect on skin, according to a medical review on synthetic peptides in cosmetics published in the Pharmaceuticals journal.
There is only one inactive ingredient in this formulation we consider potentially unhealthy.
Phenoxyethanol is a synthetic preservative that was shown in a 2020 clinical trial to be toxic to human cells.
Fièra Cosmetics has dramatically improved the healthiness of this product since our initial publication of this review, replacing synthetic dyes (which are clinically shown to be toxic) with natural dyes.
Overall, we consider Fièra Luxury Concealer likely to have an anti-aging and skin-hydrating effect.
We don't currently recommend this product due to the inclusion of phenoxyethanol.
Apple Stem Cell Cream Review
The ingredients in Fièra’s Apple Stem Cell Cream, which is an anti-aging cream for mature skin, are shown below:

Like the previous product, this one contains a large number of effective active ingredients.
Macadamia ternifolia seed oil is clinically shown to have an anti-aging effect:
“It is concluded that macadamia nuts oil in nanocream dosage form has better antiaging activity on the skin compared to conventional cream and macadamia nuts oil can be used as an effective skin anti-aging dosage form.”
Malaus domestica is a potent antioxidant that can protect skin from damage according to a medical review published in the Antioxidants journal.
Shea butter can repair and support skin barrier function, and we documented in our Global Beauty Care reviews article.
Vitamin E and vitamin A are also included in this formulation, and we discussed in the previous ingredient analysis section why we believe both nutrients to be skin-supportive.
Sea buckthorn oil was shown to have an anti-aging effect in a 2017 medical review, although the review primarily examined oral use of this compound rather than topical.
The best news about this cream is that it’s entirely free of questionable additives. There are no synthetic preservatives or synthetic dyes added, so we recommend this product from a formulation perspective and consider it likely to have an anti-aging effect.
Fièra vs. Popular Cosmetics Brands
Here's how Fièra Cosmetics compares to other popular cosmetics brands in terms of formulation quality, in our opinion:
Thrive Causemetics
This brand uses many research-backed active ingredients, but also utilizes a synthetic preservative combination with a clinically proven and toxic synergistic effect.
Fièra is the healthier choice.
Winner: Fièra Cosmetics
Oliveda Skincare
Oliveda Skincare is popular for its olive-based formulations, but unfortunately the formulation we reviewed contained harmful synthetic fragrance compounds.
Fièra Cosmetics gets the win from a health standpoint.
Winner: Fièra Cosmetics
Maelys Cosmetics
Contains many unhealthy additives, including synthetic dyes and fragrance.
Winner: Fièra Cosmetics
Our Clean Skincare Pick

MindBodyGreen Best Skin+ is our top anti-aging skin supplement.
It contains orange extract which is clinically shown to increase skin moisturization, skin elasticity and skin radiance.
This supplement also contains astaxanthin which is clinically shown to cause "wrinkle formation reduction."
This supplement is free of ingredients that we consider to be unhealthy.
