Disclaimer: None of the information in this article constitutes medical advice, and is just the opinion of the writer(s). We recommend that patients follow their doctor’s guidance in regard to male enhancement products.

VigorNow is a male enhancement supplement. The brand claims that their product enhances sex drive and libido and increases penis length and girth.

But can a dietary supplement really increase penis size, or are these just marketing claims? Does VigorNow contain research-backed ingredients for increasing sex drive? Does it contain any questionable additive ingredients? And how do real users rate and describe the effects of VigorNow?

In this article we'll answer all of these questions and more as we analyze the ingredients in VigorNow based on medical studies to give our take on whether the supplement is likely to be effective for improving sex drive and penis size, or if it's a waste of money.

We'll highlight some questionable and unproven health claims on the VigorNow website, discuss an FDA report regarding contamination of sexual enhancement supplements, and feature real customer reviews of the brand.

Ingredient Analysis

Justified Laboratories VigorNow ingredients

There are a number of different products sold under the "VigorNow" trade name. The ingredient list above is from the VigorNow supplement sold by a manufacturer called Justified Laboratories.

Horny goat weed extract may enhance libido and improve erectile dysfunction (ED) in men, as we documented in our horny goat weed review article. However, we cannot find any evidence that it increases penis size.

Tongkat ali was shown in a 2017 medical review to improve male sexual health in early research studies. Specifically, it appears to be effective in ameliorating symptoms of ED.

Saw palmetto extract is the next-listed ingredient, and while this herb is included in many male sexual health formulations due to its proposed aphrodisiac effects, a 2021 meta-study found it to have no effects on sex drive.

Wild yam extract was shown in a clinical trial published in the Food and Chemical Toxicology journal to induce chronic kidney injury.

The inactive ingredients in VigorNow are safe and non-toxic.

Overall, we consider VigorNow potentially effective for improving libido due to the fact that some of its active ingredients have research backing for that purpose.

We have not come across any medical evidence that the ingredients in VigorNow can increase penis size, nor have we come across any studies suggesting that any botanical ingredient increases penis size.

We do not currently recommend VigorNow due to the inclusion of wild yam extract.

In the next section we'll highlight some questionable and uncited health claims on the VigorNow website.

Questionable Health Claims

VigorNow health claims

As shown above, there are a number of health claims on the VigorNow website that are entirely uncited and that we consider to be unscientific.

The brand's website claims “A small penis is the cause of 76% female infidelities” with no citation. The site also states that the “best-proven product is VigorNow” and that “experiments have shown that the penis increases by at least 5 or even 7 centimeters.”

There is no link to these “experiments” that they reference, and we can’t find a medical citation for a single health claim the brand is making on their site.

Consumers should be extremely wary purchasing from brands that make specific health claims without proof. This seems like fear-based marketing that seeks to make a certain subset of male consumers feel inadequate so they're primed to purchase a solution.

As we discussed in our review of another popular male enhancement supplement called Cialix, we can't determine any biological mechanism for a dietary supplement to permanently increase penis size.

Real Customers Review VigorNow

VigorNow has been reviewed over 100 times on Amazon, with an average review rating of 3.1 out of 5 stars.

The top positive review from a verified purchaser comes from a user named "RaShelle Ali" who claims the supplement is effective:

"These pills really WORK."

The most popular negative review from a verified purchaser is written by a user named “Fred B.” who claims the product was ineffective:

“Didn't do diddley-squat.”

It's worth noting that the ingredients list for this supplement has a higher total dose than the ingredient list featured in the Ingredient Analysis section of this article, which is another concerning sign of a low-quality brand.

Justified Laboratories has an average review rating of 1 out of 5 stars on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, with a recent user of a different supplement sold by the brand alleging billing mispractices:

"It is a fraudulent order. They switched me from one bottle to 5 bottles of these gummies - Pro Burn Keto Gummies. I told them that is was a fraudulent call. I want the whole thing cancelled and to lose my debit card number."

Risks of "Male Enhancement" Pills

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published a report recently about tainted sexual enhancement products.

The report claims that consumers “should use caution” when purchasing this category of supplement because they’re frequently tainted with contaminants or illicit material.

For this reason, it may be prudent to avoid sexual enhancement supplements with a proprietary ("prop") formulation unless the product has been proven safe in clinical trials.

Taking single herbs with research backing for enhanced sexual function may be a safer approach.

A YouTube video from a doctor named Rena Malik has over 2 million views and discusses male enhancement supplements:

Our Clean Men's Health Picks

MBG Vitamin D3 Potency+ is our top value testosterone support pick.

Vitamin D3 supplementation has been clinically shown to increase total testosterone levels by over 25%.

MBG Omega-3 Potency+ is our top erection quality pick.

Omega-3 fatty acids were described as "critical for men with ED who are under age 60 years" in a 2012 medical review.

All of the products recommended in this section are entirely free of ingredients that we consider unhealthy.

Conclusion

We do not currently recommend VigorNow and consider it to be one of the worst male enhancement supplements that we've reviewed on Illuminate Health, given that the brand proclaims to increase penis size permanently.

The brand provides no proof that their supplement increases penis size, and we haven't come across any medical evidence that any dietary supplement can permanently increase penis size.

VigorNow may be effective for improving sex drive in men, because it contains some active ingredients shown to do so in clinical trials.

There may be unique risks to multi-ingredient sexual enhancement supplements, because the FDA has reported that these supplements can be tainted with contaminants or illegal drugs.

User reviews of VigorNow and its manufacturer are unimpressive on Amazon and the BBB website.

There are a number of questionable and uncited health claims on the VigorNow website beyond the penis size claims, such as the suggestion that the supplement increases orgasm sensitivity. We recommend that consumers exercise caution when purchasing supplements from brands making unproven health claims.
