Drachen is a male enhancement supplement in the form of an oral spray that’s sold on Amazon and on the brand’s website. The brand’s website describes this product as “The World’s First Male Growth Activator,” and suggests it can improve erection quality and sexual health.
But does Drachen contain research-backed ingredients for improving erection quality? Does it contain any unhealthy ingredients? Is the manufacturer making false claims? And is Drachen better or worse than popular sexual health supplements like ExtenZe?
In this article we’ll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in Drachen to give our take on whether or not the supplement is likely to be effective for erectile function, and whether or not it's safe.
We’ll also share our concerns about the ingredient doses, highlight some questionable health claims on the brand's website, and compare Drachen to other popular sexual health supplements to pick our winners (and losers).
Key takeaways:
- Contains inactive ingredients we consider unhealthy
- Questionable and uncited health claims on brand's website
- We do not currently recommend Drachen

Ingredient Analysis
The ingredients in Drachen are shown below:

Some of these ingredients have been shown in clinical studies to improve erections.
L-arginine is an amino acid which was shown in a medical review published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine to “significantly” improve erection quality.
This is because it increases nitric oxide levels in the body, which widens blood vessels and reduces blood pressure.
GABA was indirectly shown to cause erections in an animal study published in 1994. We can’t find any trials proving its effectiveness in humans.
Mucuna pruriens was shown to have favorable effects on erection quality in a 2020 clinical trial on rats. However, an extract was used in the trial, while the less potent, non-extracted version is used in Drachen.
There are two inactive ingredients in this formulation that we consider questionable from a health perspective.
Potassium sorbate is a synthetic preservative which was described as “clearly seen to be genotoxic” in a clinical trial published in the Toxicology in Vitro journal.
This suggests that it can be damaging to human DNA.
Natural flavors is a broad categorical term that fails to describe the specific flavoring agents used.
As we documented in our Nugenix GH Boost reviews article on another male enhancement supplement, clinical studies have shown that some natural flavoring compounds may be harmful to human health.
Overall, we consider Drachen to be potentially effective for improving erection quality and treating erectile dysfunction (ED), given that it has a few research-backed ingredients.
However, the ingredient doses are what we take issue with.
Ingredient Dose Disclosure Issues
At the time of publishing this article, Drachen failed to clearly publish ingredient doses for any of their ingredients either on their website or Amazon listing.
Without ingredient doses, it’s impossible to know if any ingredient is likely to be effective or if it’s safe.
A supplement ingredient may be effective at a 200 milligram (mg) dose, but ineffective at 20 mg. It also may be unsafe at 1,000 mg.
It’s a consumer safety issue for a brand to fail to clearly publish ingredient doses, and a red flag of a low-quality brand.
We recommend that consumers avoid supplement companies that fail to clearly publish active ingredient doses.
There was also a different ingredient list on the Drachen website and Drachen Amazon listing.
As shown below, Drachen’s website listed “moomiyo” and l-dopa as active ingredients:

Neither of these ingredients are included in the ingredient list on Amazon, which we featured in the previous section.
This is another serious consumer safety issue which we urge the brand to immediately rectify.
Consumers may be allergic or sensitive to certain ingredients, and it’s a risk to their health to publish inaccurate ingredient lists.
Highly Questionable Health Claims
There are a number of uncited and unscientific health claims on Drachen’s website that we disagree with.
The brand refers to a “trial” which suggests that their supplement has been studied in a clinical trial:

However, we can’t find any evidence that Drachen has been studied in a clinical trial, nor does the brand appear to link to any on their website.
Drachen claims that their supplement can help users “strengthen your penile muscles” without providing any proof or explanation as to how:

Erectile supplements typically work by increasing blood flow to the penis. We haven’t seen any clinical evidence that supplements can improve penile muscle function.
The website also claims that Drachen contains “12 natural ingredients,” which is an extremely strange claim given that the ingredient section below only showcases six ingredients, and the Amazon listing only shows 9 ingredients:

What are the additional ingredients referenced here?
We consider it to be a red flag of a low-quality supplement brand to make bold health claims without providing any proof of those claims.
Drachen vs. Popular ED Supps
Here's how Drachen compares to other popular ED supplements in terms of formulation quality, in our opinion:
ExtenZe
Company received FDA warning letter regarding a hidden drug ingredient found in ExtenZe.
We consider Drachen to be the less acutely dangerous choice.
Winner: Drachen
Cialix
Contains at least one research-backed active ingredient for boosting testosterone, which we consider to be effectively dosed.
There are no ingredients in this formulation that we consider unhealthy or dangerous, as we documented in our Cialix review article.
Cialix has the advantage from a health perspective.
Winner: Cialix
VigorNow
Unclear official manufacturer, and this brand makes wildly unscientific claims about an herbal blend having the capacity to increase penis size.
Drachen is the higher-quality formulation.
Winner: Drachen
Our Clean Men's Health Picks

Illuminate Labs Panax Ginseng Extract is our top erection quality pick.
Panax ginseng was shown in a clinical trial published in The Journal of Urology to increase erectile function scores "significantly" compared to participants taking placebo pills.
MBG Vitamin D3 Potency+ is our top testosterone support pick.
Vitamin D3 supplementation has been clinically shown to increase total testosterone levels by over 25%.
Both of the products recommended in this section are free of ingredients that we consider unhealthy.
