Frøya Organics is a unique skincare brand that uses "Arctic" herbs sourced from Scandinavia. The company promises better skin in 60 days or your money back, and describes their formulations as "Ultra Potent."
But does Frøya Organics contain research-backed ingredients for improving skin quality? Does it contain any unhealthy ingredients? What was our Product Tester's honest experience trying it for a month? And how does Frøya Organics compare to other luxury skincare brands?
In this article we'll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in two of Frøya Organics' most popular products to give our take on whether or not they're likely to be effective, and whether or not they're healthy.
We'll also share our Product Tester's experience trying a Frøya Organics balm for a month, and compare Frøya Organics to other luxury skincare brands to pick our winners (and losers).
Key takeaways:
- Both products analyzed contain research-backed active ingredients
- Both products analyzed are free of unhealthy additives
- We currently recommend Frøya Organics
Frøya Anti-Age System Review
The ingredients in Frøya Organics Anti-Age & Glow Day Balm are shown below:

This formulation contains a large number of research-backed active ingredients for skin moisturization and anti-aging.
Pomegranate oil was shown to protect skin from UV damage in a clinical trial published in the International Journal of Dermatology.
Argan oil is clinically shown to have an anti-aging effect, as we discussed in our True Botanicals review article.
Sea buckthorn oil is clinically shown to have anti-acne effects.
Frankincense essential oil may have anti-inflammatory effects in skin based on the results of a 2017 clinical trial.
There are no unhealthy ingredients in this formulation, so we currently recommend Frøya Organics Anti-Age & Glow Day Balm.
We Tested Frøya Organics
One of our product testers named Anna Chin tried Frøya Organics Anti-Age & Insane Glow Day Balm for a month.
Here's her experience:

I really like how simple the packaging is. It comes in a small jar that feels clean and sturdy, and it’s easy to open and use. I apply it with my fingers, and the texture feels smooth and lightweight, not heavy at all.
Once it’s on, it absorbs pretty quickly and doesn’t feel greasy. My skin feels soft right away and looks more fresh and healthy. It layers well with the rest of my skincare and sits nicely during the day.
I actually really like the smell. It’s light and fresh, with a clean plant vibe and a hint of fruit. Nothing "perfumey" or overwhelming — just very natural and pleasant.
After using this product for a month, my skin looked more fresh, hydrated, and healthy overall.
It gave me that natural glow without crossing into oily territory, and my skin just looked smoother and more awake.
Here's an image I took before using this product:

And below is an image I took after using this product for a month:

Compared to what I usually use in this category, this one feels lighter and more refreshing on my skin. A lot of products I’ve tried before can feel thicker or heavier, especially during the day, but this one absorbs really nicely and gives a glow without feeling greasy.
What really stood out to me was how hydrated my skin felt. My skin felt more alive, plump, and fresh throughout the day, not dull or dry.
The only small drawback is that it comes in a jar, so I had to use my fingers and it didn’t come with a spatula.
One thing I didn’t expect was how calming it felt on my skin. My skin just felt more balanced and comfortable — no tightness, no irritation. I also noticed my skin looked smoother and more even during the day.
And honestly, the glow was such a nice surprise — as you can see in the "After" picture, my skin looks alive and refreshed.
Overall, I rate this product 9/10 and would purchase it again.
Frøya Hair & Scalp Care Review
The ingredients in Frøya Organics Hyper Potent Hair Growth Serum are shown below:

Jojoba oil was shown to improve hair fiber, protect hair thread, and improve breakage resistance in a medical review published in the Polymers journal.
Avocado oil was shown to protect hair from damage in a 2021 clinical trial.
Peppermint is clinically shown to cause hair growth, as we documented in our is BioSilk shampoo good for your hair article.
Frøya Organics vs. the Competition
Here's how Frøya Organics compares to other popular anti-aging skincare brands in terms of formulation quality, in our opinion:
Norse Organics
More of a sister company than a competitor, but Norse Organics had some labeling issues and a more limited catalogue (focused on acne) at the time of our review of the brand.
Winner: Frøya Organics
Jones Road Miracle Balm
Like Frøya Organics, contains research-backed active ingredients to support skin healing.
However, Jones Road Miracle Balm also contains Red 28, an artificial dye clinically shown to penetrate skin and have negative effects on the immune system.
Winner: Frøya Organics
Aquaphor
One of the simplest skincare products on the market, Aquaphor's active ingredient helps to protect the skin.
However, there are more active ingredients with research backing in Frøya Organics than in Aquaphor.
Winner: Frøya Organics
