Instantly Ageless Review: Can Cream Make You Ageless?

Instantly Ageless is an anti-aging skincare cream that claims to have sold over 7 million boxes and to have been featured on major media outlets like NBC. The brand claims that their product helps users “Look Ten Years Younger In Only Two Minutes!”

But does Instantly Ageless contain research-backed ingredients for improving skin quality? Does it contain any unhealthy ingredients? And is it better or worse than popular anti-aging creams like LifeCell?

In this article we’ll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in Instantly Ageless to give our take on whether or not the product is likely to be effective for anti-aging, and whether or not it's healthy.

We'll also compare Instantly Ageless to other popular anti-aging creams to pick our winners (and losers).

Key takeaways:

  • Contains one active ingredient with research backing for anti-aging
  • Contains several inactive ingredients we consider unhealthy
  • We do not currently recommend Instantly Ageless

Ingredient Analysis

The ingredients in Instantly Ageless Facelift in A Box are shown below:

Instantly Ageless ingredients

There is one ingredient in this formulation that we consider likely to be effective for improving skin based on a review of medical research.

Acetyl hexapeptide-8 was described as a “well-known component of anti-aging products” in a 2015 medical review, and may have anti-wrinkle effects when applied topically.

There are several ingredients in this cream that may have questionable health effects.

Sodium silicate was described as a “strong irritant to skin, eyes, and mucous membranes in PubChem (although this likely refers to its use undiluted), and has been clinically shown to be a skin irritant in a case study.

Phenoxyethanol is a synthetic preservative that’s been clinically shown to be toxic to human cells, as we documented in our review of Tint & Tighten (another skincare product containing this preservative).

Yellow 5 and Red 40 are synthetic dyes, and this type of colorant was shown in a medical review published in the Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine journal to have the potential to be absorbed through the skin, and to have negative health consequences in the body.

We consider Instantly Ageless somewhat likely to reduce wrinkles and to improve skin quality generally due to the inclusion of acetyl hexapeptide-8.

However, we don’t consider this product to be a particularly cost-effective way to obtain that ingredient, and we don’t recommend this cream overall due to the inclusion of a synthetic preservative and two synthetic dyes.

Instantly Ageless vs. Popular Anti-Aging Creams

Here's how Instantly Ageless compares to other popular anti-aging creams in terms of potential effectiveness and healthiness, in our opinion:

LifeCell

Contains many research-backed anti-aging ingredients such as soybean oil, which is clinically shown to stimulate collagen production and protect skin from UV damage.

Better-quality formulation than Instantly Ageless from both a potential efficacy and healthiness standpoint (as would be expected by its price).

Winner: LifeCell

StriVectin

This brand primarily sells neck and eye creams for anti-aging, rather than facial creams.

One of the preservatives used by StriVectin was the subject of an FDA warning letter regarding potentially serious allergic reactions, as we documented in our does StriVectin work article.

We consider Instantly Ageless to be a healthier formulation, because while it contains some ingredients we consider unhealthy, it does not contain any we consider acutely dangerous.

Winner: Instantly Ageless

OneSkin

While we disagree with OneSkin's marketing claims about its anti-aging peptide, the brand's anti-aging cream contains fewer inactive ingredients we consider unhealthy than Instantly Ageless.

OneSkin wins from a healthiness perspective.

Winner: OneSkin

Our Clean Skincare Pick

MindBodyGreen Best Skin+ is our top anti-aging skin supplement.

It contains orange extract which is clinically shown to increase skin moisturization, skin elasticity and skin radiance.

This supplement also contains astaxanthin which is clinically shown to cause "wrinkle formation reduction."

This supplement is free of ingredients that we consider to be unhealthy.

Conclusion

Instantly Ageless does contain one ingredient that we identified in clinical research to have a potentially anti-aging effect.

However, we don’t understand how the brand can make specific health claims like that it works in only two minutes, because the product doesn’t appear to be clinically tested.

We do not currently recommend Instantly Ageless due to the inclusion of synthetic dyes and a synthetic preservative, nor do we consider it to be a good value based on its price and formulation.

We consider Instantly Ageless to be healthier than anti-aging brand StriVectin, but to be an inferior formulation to LifeCell and OneSkin.
