Create Wellness is a direct-to-consumer supplement brand whose flagship product is a creatine monohydrate gummy. The brand markets its gummies as a more convenient, better-tasting alternative to creatine powder, and uses a patented branded creatine source.
But do Create gummies contain a research-backed creatine dose? Do they contain unhealthy additives? How did Create perform in an independent lab test? And are Create gummies better or worse than other popular creatine supplements like Bear Balanced gummies?
In this article we’ll answer all of these questions and more, as we analyze the ingredients in Create Creatine Monohydrate Gummies.
We’ll also cover an independent third-party testing finding that calls the product’s potency into question, and compare Create against three other creatine brands we’ve reviewed on Illuminate Health.
Key takeaways:
- Uses Creapure® branded creatine monohydrate
- Contains several inactive ingredients we consider unhealthy
- We do not currently recommend Create Creatine Gummies
Ingredient Analysis
The ingredients in the Blue Raspberry flavor of Create Creatine Monohydrate Gummies are shown below:

Creatine monohydrate is included at 4.5 grams (g) per serving and is clinically shown to increase muscle strength and lean mass when paired with resistance training.
The creatine is sourced as Creapure®, a German-manufactured branded monohydrate with independent-testing purity data at or above 99.9%.
The 4.5 g dose is within the effective maintenance range.
Tapioca syrup and sugar are forms of refined, added sugar.
Allulose is included as a secondary sweetener, and as we documented in our review of Transformation Protein, we recommend avoiding this compound.
Citric acid was shown to cause whole-body inflammation in some individuals in a case series published in the Toxicology Reports journal.
Natural flavor is a broad categorical term with no legal definition of specific compounds. We consider natural flavor to be a suboptimal inclusion for oral supplements.
Annatto extract, red beet extract, spirulina extract, and turmeric extract are healthy, naturally-derived colorants.
Overall, we consider Create Gummies likely to be effective for supporting muscle building, but we don't currently recommend this supplement due to the inactive ingredients highlighted above.
Independent Testing Results
In February 2024, NOW Foods published an independent testing round covering twelve creatine gummy brands, including Create.
The results are shown below:

NOW reported that Create failed to meet its creatine label claim, with a portion of the creatine present as creatinine, the chemical degradation byproduct of creatine.
Create came closer to its label claim than several other brands tested, but the combined creatine-plus-creatinine content still fell short of the claimed dose.
The test is dated February 2024 and was performed by NOW Foods, which manufactures competing creatine products, so there is a potential conflict of interest.
NOW disclosed its methodology and published the data openly. We cannot identify any publicly available Certificate of Analysis from Create that addresses or supersedes the NOW finding, and the brand has not publicly responded to the report in any source we could locate.
That being said, Create is now NSF Certified for Sport, which suggests that their supplements should currently meet label accuracy claims.
Create vs. Popular Creatine Brands
Here’s how Create compares to other popular creatine brands in terms of formulation quality:
Bear Balanced
Bear Balanced is another direct-to-consumer creatine gummy brand using creatine monohydrate, which was shown to be the most effective creatine form in a review published in the Amino Acids journal.
However, Bear Balanced passed the NOW independent testing, while Create didn't.
Bear Balanced is the winner from a potential efficacy perspective.
Winner: Bear Balanced
Thorne
Thorne Creatine, reviewed in our Thorne review article, is an unflavored powder with zero inactive ingredients and a 5 g dose.
Thorne is the winner from a health perspective.
Winner: Thorne
Six Star Creatine
Six Star Creatine is a creatine monohydrate powder that's effectively-dosed.
It has no unhealthy additive ingredients, and we can't find any independent testing results suggesting it's underdosed.
Six Star Creatine is the winner from both a potential efficacy and a health perspective.
Winner: Six Star Creatine
